Lunar Tide

What happens when you take two red dyes, the moon, memories and reel it in with fishing line?

The pieces in this exhibition were all made ‘under the influence’ of the pink dye. I was curious what would happen if I stayed with the colour, the associations and feelings it evoked….mainly around fluidity, receptivity and vulnerability. Qualities that are often termed feminine.

Sometimes that was uncomfortable, especially early on, other times delightful and always surprising.

I hope you enjoy what the lunar tide has washed ashore.
